In autumn and in winter, the Drôme exchanges fruits of the sun for perfumed truffles. Another magic season for the South of Rhône-Alpes, the first French truffle region, in the cosy comfort of a pleasant guest house.

In the Mas Bella Cortis, nothing is done in half measures and the truffle is treated with all the consideration it deserves. Knowing that the invaluable Tuber Melanosporum will know how to return all these benefactions by expressing its rare aromas.
During the season which stretches between Saint-Sévrin (November 27th) and Saint Joseph (March 19th), the truffle is good to be harvested at the feet of truffiers oaks. Rewarded by a piece of cake or Gruyère and above all the indestructible affection of his master, the truffle dog, - often a mongrel with a very developed sense of smell - indicates the presence of the truffle which his master just has to find by digging in the loose ground.
In the Domain Bramarel where Anne and Alexandre Buffard, the owners of the Mas Bella Cortis take their small group of customers, it is the Labradors which "cavent" as it is said. Cuddles are encouraged ...

On the program, the famous truffle market in Richerenches, the visit of the Maison de la Truffe in Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux and a luxurious dinner around truffles, elaborated in partnership with David Mollicone, chef of the Hotel Valle Aurea who knows his subject on the tips of his fingers.
An apéritif around the truffle, a brouillade of truffled fresh eggs, a soup of potimarron with truffles, ravioles (a very local speciality) with truffles, a chocolate mousse with truffle... Don't worry; you won't grow tired of it!
Alexandre Buffard who is nourished by the Drôme, his chosen home, from all points of view, is also a painter who willingly invites visitors into his workshop.
